The Collaboration

What is Viva | La | Cuba?

A narrative of a cultural exchange between Chicago interdisciplinary creatives and a community of creativity within Havana.

Facilitating work through the Cuban Rap Agency, a government entity - our work is for the benefit of a deeper cultural dialogue and the heightened awareness of community organization, Healing Bridge.

Through our series of community engagements we are committed to the themes of empowerment through natural beauty, wellness through reflection and community prosperity through technical collaborative skills.

Chicago creatives aligning interdisciplinary successes with the creative drive of those that share similar interests of the Cuban citizens

Utilizing social activation to generate awareness and exposure through multitiered partnerships, Chicago establishes dynamic platforms to share the stories of the Cuban people.

What is Healing Bridge?

Healing Bridge is a community organization established in 2000.

Began by independent artist Ania Garcia Perez, Healing Bridge started as an anonymous coaching hotline for women of domestic violence.

Over time, Ania believed there was a power in bringing those affected together in the form of support groups.

The idea arose to link these experiences with the creative process so they could reclaim their voices.

This expression would grant them the experience and empowerment to take this message back to their communities to create their own social projects.

What needs does Healing Bridge address?

Domestic violence resource, creative engagement for individuals in underserved neighborhoods, and serve LGBT youth in regards to HIV prevention through education to those in the community.

Cuba | Chicago Connection

The ambition of this project is directly rooted in how we can bridge resources back to Healing Bridge that can be of benefit i.e. non profits in Chicago that work in similar capacities.

The debut of “Viva La Cuba” is structured to integrate impactful creatives within the market that share the same aspirations of their counterparts.

After our series commences in Cuba - we create a multi  engagement that shares and exposes the technical skills taught, prosperity in community, artist canvas expansion, and culture immersion.

Through a dynamic set of partners in the public and private sectors, we create a standard - setting cultural exchange that has yet to be done by independent Chicago artists - or anyone else.

CHICAGO LAUNCH |  September through October; stay tuned here.
